Rooted in a lifelong passion for the renewal of Christ’s Church and inspired by the vision of Ezekiel 37, the Rev. Charlie Holt is committed to seeing God bring resurrection life to congregations for vibrant Gospel mission. A graduate of the University of Florida and Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, he has served the Church for over twenty-five years as a priest, teacher, reconciler, and missional leader, including pastorates in North Carolina, Florida, Texas, and now as Rector of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Jacksonville. Known nationally for his leadership in small-group discipleship, preaching and teaching ministries, peacemaking, and community outreach, he has coached hundreds of clergy, authored the Christian Life Trilogy, led mediation and reconciliation efforts, and guided mission initiatives from Honduras to post-Katrina Mississippi. His ministry has included launching robust Christian education programs, planting churches, directing major relief efforts, and fostering innovative partnerships addressing homelessness and community transformation. President of Bible Study Media and a certified Christian conciliator, he has served widely in diocesan leadership and remains dedicated to forming servant-leaders grounded in Scripture and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Charlie is married to Brooke Egerton Holt, is father to three children, and enjoys Gator football, fishing, and gardening.
