We want all children to experience the wonder of God, the joyfulness of praise, and a gospel message that touches their hearts right where they are.
The focus of children’s church is to deepen a child’s personal relationship with Jesus by helping them to know him through his Word, as well as love and serve him through worship and a shared communion with one another.
“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name, welcomes me.”
– Mark 9:37
“The Children’s Church lessons corresponded to the liturgy and could be adapted for our age group. (I like) that it is adaptable, it corresponds to the weekly readings, and the activities are fun and get the lesson across.”

Heart’s Alive Children’s Church is a fully integrated weekly worship experience in which children explore the same weekly lectionary readings (RCL) as their parents but at a level that engages their intellectual and tactile capabilities.
The program is designed to compliment the Hearts Alive Sunday school curriculum and contains distinct lessons so that children who are participating in both programs have fresh, inspiring materials.
Our Children Church is a downloadable PDF file that contains 12+ lessons for each of the four liturgical seasons. They are offered in Cycle A, B, & C to correspond with the Revised Common Lectionary.

“We’ve been looking for a curriculum that was specifically geared for the Children’s Worship type of setting. Most curriculum are geared for a Sunday School program that runs concurrent during the service. We needed something for our older kids that would help prepare children for participation in the corporate worship service and grow their understanding of what it means to be worshippers of God….
We like the Hearts Alive lessons and discussion portions in particular, and the small group activities at the varying levels. I really appreciate when it's not too complicated to pull together the necessary materials. It’s at just the right level of complexity - any more, and it would become too cumbersome to do each week.”
