4 Steps to Implementing Hearts Alive Curriculum

Hearts Alive is a non-denominational children's Sunday School and Children's Church curriculum, created by Bible Study Media in partnership with New Growth Press. Hearts Alive's goal is to introduce children to God through his Word with a strong overview of the story of salvation and how it ties to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This three-year course of study covers the entire Bible and mirrors the liturgical cycles of the Revised Common Lectionary (Cycles A, B, & C). Special emphasis is given to the Gospel and integrating God’s Word into a child’s faith and life.

The curriculum is released every quarter. It can be purchased online as individual units, or you can set up a monthly or annual subscription on the online network.

Once you have subscribed or purchased one or more of the Hearts Alive quarterly curriculum units, here are four easy steps to familiarizing yourself and your teams with Hearts Alive!

AS YOU START OUT

  • Get to know our Hearts Alive Specialists and take advantage of their wealth of knowledge and experience.
  • Adapt it however you would like and don’t feel like you have to use it as-is.
  • Trim it down, because you may not have enough time to do it all anyway.
  • Subscribe to the Hearts Alive Community for helpful updates.

I am so impressed with how the lessons are structured with opening and closing activities to the last details, that those with no experience can follow through with ease. Its organization brings the bible story alive in a fun way.
